Arguably the most coveted Detroit, these were produced in extremely limited quantities for just 4 months in 2001, January through April. They were made in only two colours, BLU "Blue", and BRK "Brick". J65 BRK has often been mistaken for the much more well known J97 CRI "Crimson", but is easily identifiable by the blanket lining. These jackets are becoming increasingly sought after and hard to find in smaller sizes. Credit to @y4rnsale for some photos.

One of the most recognizable Detroit models, and possibly the most iconic sandstone duck Detroit. The J43 run lasted from 1998-1999, and came in 5 different colour ways; Hunter Green, Onyx, Burgundy, Chestnut, and Wheat. While prices for more desirable colours like Hunter Green, Onyx, and Burgundy continue to climb, these jackets can often still be found for under $400-800 USD depending on size and condition. More niche than some of the better known sandstone duck Detroits, the JB08 series came in Graphite, Mocha, and Dark Olive. Produced in 1996, this was a very limited run, and featured a blanket lining that was only ever used on these jackets. Graphite is easily one of my favourite colours, and what I named my store after. The sheet lined firm duck Detroits are some of the most obscure and undocumented models to come out of the 90s. Produced in extremely limited quantities in 1994, a year after the southwest line was introduced, it featured some colours from the southwest line, as well as a colour that has never been seen before. The JS series came in 4 colours, Redwood, Spruce, and Natural, all of which were also featured in the southwest line. Many people believed the blue Detroit was "Carbon Blue" and used the style code "JS1215", since "15" was the colour code for "Carbon Blue". I believe my JS1237 was the first of these blue Detroits to be found with a tag, proving that it is not "Carbon Blue", but rather a different undocumented colour. The "37" code has also been found on shorts from the same era. My guess is that the colour is actually called "Powder Blue" or "Sky Blue", but I have no evidence to back up that claim. JS1237 remains an extremely elusive model, much rarer than Redwood, Spruce, or Natural, that rarely shows up online.

The 3 or 4 digits on the back of 90s era tags stands for when the item was made. the first 1 or 2 digits represented the month, and the last two digits stood for the year. While "97" stands for 1997, "0"is not a month. I first noticed this tag on my J43 ONX which I had assumed to be the 1998 version because of the tag and blanket lining. But the tag was missing the "regular" sizing specification, had the date code "097" and use red print on the back, not black like the rest of the 1998 J43. My theory is that my Onyx is an early production model, and that "097" was stamped on times made in late December of 1997, and possibly early January of 1998.
